The Pledge of Allegiance was originally written in 1892 by Francis Bellamy. It was formally adopted by Congress in 1942. The pledge underwent some changes throughout the years from its original version into the pledge that we know of today. This wooden flag is handcrafted from bare pine wood and put through our antiquing process to make the wood appear rustic. The stars on the flag are painted on. The stripes and the Union are individual boards held together by a strongly constructed back frame using wood glue and staples. Strong, Durable, and will last for generations to come!
